About thirty QubiTO members in a Politecnico lecture hall during the 2024 internal hackathon, in front of a screen with the QR codes of the team's LinkedIn and Instagram profiles.

We have moved beyond pure theory. With the inauguration of Politecnico’s first quantum computer from IQM, “Lagrange”, our team is actively testing algorithms and protocols directly on physical hardware. Furthermore, the use of RFSoC boards allows us to closely explore the electronics and control systems related to these technologies.

How we work

Research and engineering projects

We recently reorganized our internal structure, shifting to a project-driven approach. Every team member actively participates in at least one ongoing project: a cross-functional setup that allows us to tackle complex challenges collaboratively and efficiently. Our members are directly involved in hands-on projects: building hybrid quantum-classical models, developing algorithmic solutions, and pushing the boundaries of what a student team can achieve.

Our project groups are composed of various students and change over time, based on the members’ interests. You can find their work in the articles.

International hackathons

We regularly travel across Europe to compete, learn, and connect with the global quantum community. QubiTO has proudly tackled advanced challenges at major international events: you can find them all in the activities.

Science communication and outreach

We firmly believe in making quantum science accessible. Our team actively organizes and participates in events to demystify quantum computing and share the impact of quantum physics with the public. Thanks to our dedicated outreach group, we are able to organize numerous meetups, often with guests from outside the team and the Politecnico, open to both our members and the general student body.

Additionally, a dedicated sub-team of programmers continuously manages and improves this website.
